Positive Message 
Street Art

Learning about contemporary street artists, collage media, and text, 5th and 6th grade created collage street artworks displaying personal positive messages. 

Kusama Pumpkins

1st and 2nd grade learned about Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama as well as the warm and cool colors, and created their own pumpkins inspired by Kusama's work and the warm and cool colors.

Neurographic Weaving

4th, 5th, and 6th grade has learned about the process of  creating neurographic art. The reflected on areas in their life they are proud of and are working on and weaved their two drawings together.

Winter Landscape

3rd and 4th grade learned about analogous colors and used the color wheel to create a winter inspired landscape using analogous colors to create a mood in their painting.

Ceramic Doors

Inspired by the movie Encanto, 4th grade designed miniature doors to an fictional or real space. The students focused on the processes of working with clay, the stages of clay, and glazing techniques.

Ceramic Spirit Animals

6th grade worked with the concepts of spirit animals and their own characteristics, along with observation of modern and historical relief sculptures to create a relief of an animal they have a personal connection to.
